What we are building

Stackbyte Limited was set up in March 2026 to make mobile apps. Six months in, the company is taking on a second line of work, and for now it is the main one: data APIs.

Plenty of useful data is published by official bodies for anyone to use. Vulnerability records from NIST and CISA, exploit probability scores from FIRST, sanctions lists from the UN, UK, EU and US, product recall notices, company registers. It is free, but using it well takes work. Each source has its own format and update schedule, and some of them go down or change without warning.

Most teams that need this data write their own scripts, and most of those scripts break quietly at some point. The alternatives tend to be enterprise products priced for large security or compliance teams, or small wrappers that nobody maintains.

We want to sit in between: a small set of APIs that each do one job, start at $19 a month, and are run carefully. Every import is checked before it goes live, the previous day's data stays up if a source fails, and every response says where the data came from and how old it is.

The first API is CVE Triage. Give it a CVE ID and it returns the severity score, the probability of exploitation in the next 30 days, whether the vulnerability is on CISA's list of known exploited vulnerabilities, and whether a public exploit exists. Package Risk and Cloud Intel come next, followed by sanctions screening, product recalls, and UAE company and property data.
